Environmental officials advocate for securing climate change funding in the Fundamental Law.

"Each one of us must do our part to safeguard and promote climate protection, stated the Environment Minister from Rhineland-Palatinate." The ministers stressed the need for ample and trustworthy funding for water management initiatives such as flood prevention.

The State Secretary at the Federal Environment Ministry, Stefan Tidow (Greens), pushed for a legal reinforcement of flood protection. "It appears that flood protection is a top priority in every state," he commented.

Nevertheless, such endeavors tend to stretch on and require speeding up. Advancing matters through legal means is essential, Tidow remarked. Another order from the committee urged the federal authorities to instate compulsory insurance for natural catastrophes.
