Investigations - Entrepreneur still missing - police suspect foul play
There is still no sign of life from 62-year-old entrepreneur Jörg D. from Hüllhorst near Minden, despite a public search. "There are only a few leads. We are still looking for him," said a police spokesman in Bielefeld on Tuesday. The police are assuming foul play. Family members had reported the 62-year-old missing.
The "Cayenne" homicide squad is looking for him and his white SUV with the license plate MI-JD 9999. The businessman has been missing since October 18. On that day, he is said to have handed over a company building in Hüllhorst to a new tenant.
The missing man's cell phone was located four days later, on October 22, in Melle, Lower Saxony. His car had also been parked there at a sports field in a residential area - properly parked and locked. The car disappeared a day later.
The missing man's cell phone has been switched off since October 23. It was last located in the far southwest of Lower Saxony near the Dutch and North Rhine-Westphalian borders when it had logged out of the German mobile network at the Schüttorf highway junction.
The missing man lived in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian and Dutch authorities have been informed. The"Cayenne" homicide squad is looking for information about the missing man or his car.
