An injured animal, resembling an intestine, walked into a fire station for help. The firefighters of the professional fire department in Mainz were taken aback by the unusual arrival on Thursday evening. They mentioned in a press release on Friday that the creature had limped its way to the fire station, possibly searching for assistance.

Rudiger, as the interested team members called the animal, moved hesitantly into the fire station. Its behavior indicated it was seeking help. It didn't show any signs of fear, implying the animal required medical attention urgently.

The on-call firefighters transferred the creature to a veterinarian. They were hopeful that Rudiger would make a full recovery. The fate of their new patient remained uncertain on Saturday morning, but they remained optimistic.
