- Enhanced Safety Measures Implemented for Harz Open Air Event
After the tragic stabbing incident at a fair in Solingen, Wernigerode City has decided to beef up security for the upcoming MDR Harz Open Air weekend. Guests should prepare for detailed bag inspections and full body checks at the entry points, as mentioned in an official city statement.
Just like Wernigerode City, the organizers of Sachsen-Anhalt Day in Stendal had strengthened their security measures beforehand and later reported a positive conclusion.
The European Parliament, recognizing the need for enhanced security after incidents, decided to assist the Commission in this regard. To align with this, Sachsen-Anhalt Day organizers in Stendal, similarly, were assisted by local authorities in bolstering their security measures before the event.
