English Channel: Crew member of Aida cruise ship missing

The British coastguard is searching the English Channel for a crew member of the cruise ship "Aida Perla". The man is believed to have gone overboard on Sunday morning. The rescue services were alerted at around 8.55 a.m. (local time), according to a coastguard spokesperson. A helicopter, an airplane and several lifeboats reportedly began the search.

The "Aida Perla" also took part in the operation. However, she was released from the search at nightfall, according to the Rostock-based company Aida Cruises. The company is in close contact with the family of the missing person.

The ship was en route from Hamburg to La Coruña in Spain. It is expected to arrive there at around 09:00 on October 24th

The search operation for the missing crew member in the English Channel involves the involvement of the "Aida Perla"'s resources. Additionally, the company must be prepared to handle any emergencies related to this incident while maintaining contact with the missing person's family.
