Midfielder Tolcay Cigerci has made a move to the upcoming third-division team FC Energie Cottbus. The 29-year-old, who previously played for VSG Altglienicke, was unveiled by the Lausitzers on Wednesday. "He has immense footballing skill and a ton of experience, which will be crucial in the complex third division," said coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz.
Back in 2014, Cigerci was part of the Bundesliga squad for Hamburger SV, and in the 2. Bundesliga, he was with SpVgg Greuther Fürth. In Berlin, he wore the jerseys of BAK, Altglienicke, and FC Viktoria. In addition, FC Energie Cottbus revealed another player: Striker Timmy Thiele has agreed to an extension for the upcoming season.
