Employment agency still looking for Santas

The Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency is still looking for Santas. A total of 20 Santas are needed for around 100 tours in the state of Bremen, according to a spokeswoman for the agency. According to the statement, 15 Santas from previous years have already been scheduled. They are there "every year and with enthusiasm". Three applicants are currently being interviewed, the spokesperson said.

According to the information provided, the Santas are deployed at family Christmas parties and company celebrations, for example.

Women can also apply: "Anyone who would like to help out as a Christmas angel is also welcome to get in touch," said the spokesperson. Last year, one Christmas angel was on duty. So far, no female specialist has been found for the current season.

Applicants should be familiar with Christmas poems and songs or be willing to learn the ropes. Those who are also not afraid of unusual working hours and uncomfortable working clothes and are not put off by weird recorder playing have a good chance of getting a job, the employment agency announced at the end of October. Those interested can apply until the end of the month.

The Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency requests applicants for the role of Santas to be comfortable in colorful costumes, as the ones they'll be wearing are typically vibrant. Once hired, the customs of welcoming families at Christmas parties and company celebrations will become a fixed part of their responsibilities.
