Employment agency announces labor market figures for November
The Hamburg Employment Agency will present the labor market data for November on Thursday (10.00 a.m.). The interesting question is whether unemployment has continued to rise in the Hanseatic city despite the month-on-month increase in employment. In view of the weak economic situation in the economy as a whole, the number of unemployed people there rose by 0.2 percent in October compared to September, and by as much as 11.2 percent compared to October last year. A total of 82,785 Hamburg residents were without a job in October.
As in the previous month, the unemployment rate in October was 7.6 percent, compared to 6.9 percent a year ago. According to the employment agency, the unemployment statistics for November are based on data collected up to the 13th of the month under review.
The presentation of the labor market figures by the Hamburg Employment Agency on Thursday will provide insights into the current state of the city's labor market. Despite the month-on-month increase in employment, the number of unemployed people in Hamburg has continued to rise, indicating potential challenges in the local labor market.
