- Emergency responders find missing persons dead in the lake

The police found a 72-year-old man dead in the Auensee lake in Swabia. According to their statements, they believe he is the missing person who had been sought since Sunday. "We suspect an accident," a police spokeswoman said about the background.

Witnesses triggered the search operation at the lake near Kissing after noticing an abandoned bicycle with clothing. Alongside two helicopters and drones, boats and divers from the water rescue service were also deployed.

The missing person, who authorities had been searching for in Swabia since Sunday, was reportedly from Bavaria. Despite the extensive search operations at the Auensee lake, including the involvement of Bavarian water rescue services, the cause of the man's death remains under investigation, with the police still suspecting an accident.
