- Emergency at Hanse Sail: Sailor rescued from yacht

Following a medical emergency, rescue teams saved a skipper from a yacht off the coast of Warnemünde. The sailor had four guests on board at the start of the 33rd Hanse Sail event that afternoon. However, none of them were able to take control of the boat after the incident, as reported by the police in Rostock.

Alarm officers from the Coast Guard safely returned the yacht to the harbor, while a medical doctor attended to the skipper. The boat, which was participating in the Hanse Sail event in Rostock, was assisted by teams from the fire department, the water rescue service, the German Maritime Search and Rescue Association, and the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard's expertise in navigation and the power of operation from their specialized teams ensured the safe return of the yacht to the harbor. The skipper's recovery was further aided by the skilled medical doctor, who possessed the necessary power of intervention to provide adequate care.
