Elversberg has been missing Frederik Jäkel, their injured defender, for several months. Despite this, he will continue to play for Saarland's team after the summer.

German Second Division: Bundesliga 2 - Elversberg has signed Leipzig player Jäkel for another year on loan.

Elversberg of the second tier is set to borrow defender Frederik Jäkel from RB Leipzig for the upcoming season. This news was released on Friday. Jäkel joined the team right before the transfer window shut in summer 2023. Prior to that, he spent two years on loan with Belgian side KV Oostende and one with Arminia Bielefeld. Unfortunately, he suffered a cruciate ligament tear in February and is now going through rehabilitation.
