- Elevated threat of wildfires in northern and eastern Thuringia regions

In Thuringia, the danger of wildfires has escalated. In the northern and eastern parts of the state, the second most severe warning level is now in effect, as indicated by data from the state forest service. Twelve out of thirty forest districts currently fall under wildfire risk level four. In the southern region, only the Heldburg forest district is affected. Consequently, some publicly accessible barbecue spots and fire pits might be closed. Thuringia boasts five different wildfire risk levels. Level one signifies a very minimal threat, while level five signifies an unusually high threat. These levels are accompanied by distinct guidelines for behavior. At the highest threat level, for instance, sensitive forests may be shut down entirely.

The unique beauty of Thuringia's nature, particularly its forests, is under threat due to the escalating wildfire danger. Protective measures may include closing some barbecue spots and fire pits in high-risk areas, given the state's strict wildfire risk levels.
