District of Trier-Saarburg - Elementary school evacuated after fire: Children unharmed
An elementary school in Nittel(Trier-Saarburg district) was evacuated on Monday due to a fire. According to the police in Saarburg, however, this was limited to a first-aid room. No one was injured. Fire doors had prevented the fire from spreading further, it was added. A box filled with cardboard had caught fire for an as yet unexplained reason. Teachers and volunteer fire departments took 134 children out of the building. They were temporarily housed in the community center in Nittel. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
