Electoral officer: Partial rerun of Bundestag election in Berlin on February 11

Following Tuesday's ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court, the partial repeat of the Bundestag election in Berlin is to take place on February 11. This was announced by state election director Stephan Bröchler in Karlsruhe. Many plans have already been initiated and can now be implemented.

Electoral officer: Partial rerun of Bundestag election in Berlin on February 11

The Constitutional Court had ruled that the 2021 Bundestag election would have to be repeated in just over a fifth of Berlin's constituencies due to numerous glitches. Both first and second votes are to be cast again. The court thus went slightly beyond the decision of the Bundestag, which had already decided on a partial rerun a year ago.
