On Tuesday, the Nordhessen police station reported a horrific incident where three men attacked and tied up an 88-year-old man in his house at Friedhof Oberzwehren. The attack happened around 8 pm on Monday evening. According to the police, the intruders threatened the elderly victim with a knife before ransacking the house and making off with valuable items.

Luckily, the 88-year-old managed to break free shortly after the incident and sought help from a neighbor. He was taken to the hospital for further medical attention, but fortunately, he was not seriously injured.

The Kassel Criminal Police are hot on the trail of the robbers. "We're currently investigating this serious robbery intensely, and we're in desperate need of witnesses to come forward with any information regarding the crime or the perpetrators," they said in a press release.

The investigators are asking anyone who might have seen anything suspicious around the time of the incident to get in touch with the police immediately.
