Judgment - Elderly Mother Assaulted Until Dead; Daughter Held in Mental Health Facility

A 65-year-old woman confessed to striking her 92-year-old mother in the head with her fists on Monday, following an argument. The daughter lived in the apartment next door. She apologized for her actions, saying, "I'm sorry, I love my mother."

Unfortunately, her mother passed away at the hospital 11 days later from life-threatening injuries. Neighbors had heard disturbing cries for help back in December, leading them to contact the police. The officers found the woman outside, arrested her, and charged her with murder.

Upon investigation, a forensic doctor reported that the defendant had claimed, "the witch" needed to be killed and could never rise again. Per the indictment, other voices had instructed her to end her mother's life, describing her as the "evil one." The daughter was admitted to a mental institution without resistance and seemed content with her surroundings.
