An elderly driver, aged 63, endured significant injuries after a direct crash with another vehicle in the Rhein-Neckar region. A 65-year-old woman experienced minimal injuries, as per authorities' announcement. Both individuals were transported to the hospital.
Apparently, due to unclear circumstances, the 63-year-old driver swerved into the wrong lane during a right-hand curve, resulting in a head-on clash with the vehicle of the 65-year-old woman. The impact caused the car to land on the grass verge.
Preliminary assessments suggested around 30,000 euros worth of damage. County road 4160 was temporarily blocked for roughly three and a half hours due to this incident. Police hinted that the 63-year-old driver might have been "under the influence of medication". Subsequently, a blood test was conducted.
