Western Pomerania: Greifswald Region - Elderly couple suffers significant financial loss at the hands of fraudsters.

The elderly couple, aged 84 and 80, were convinced by a seeming legal professional to pay them. This was because he had information about their daughter. Afterwards, a different fake lawyer appeared and requested the transfer of over 100,000 euros. The funds were promised to be returned in two weeks, according to the con artist. The pair then surrendered the money to an unknown person. The authorities have now initiated an enquiry.
