Customs - EKM expects half a million visitors on Christmas Eve
The parishes of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany are expecting around half a million visitors on Christmas Eve. Around 4,000 Christmas vespers, concerts and nativity plays are planned, the EKM announced on Tuesday. Special services, events and concerts will take place on the following Christmas days.
Among other things, there will be nativity plays in retirement homes in Eisenach and a nativity play as a pop musical in Zeulenroda. In some cities, events have been announced for people who have to spend Christmas Eve alone. The Evangelische Bahnhofsmission (Protestant Station Mission) will be celebrating a church service at the main station in Halle on December 24.
