Bundesliga - Eintracht Frankfurt women's soccer team: Success in Freiburg

The Eintracht Frankfurt women's soccer team showed a strong reaction to their disheartening performance in the Champions League. In the last Bundesliga match of the year, the Hessians outclassed SC Freiburg 4:0 (2:0) on Saturday. Barbara Dunst (23rd minute), Lisanne Gräwe (66th) and Nicole Anyomi (70th) scored the goals for the visitors at Freiburg's Dreisamstadion. Freiburg's Alina Axtmann (41) also scored into her own goal.

The unchallenged win keeps the pressure on top duo Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg as Eintracht remain third in the table. Next Thursday, Frankfurt will play the important second leg of their Champions League tie against Benfica Lisbon. A win would open the door to progression.
