Bundesliga - Eintracht Frankfurt about to loan out van de Beek
According to media reports,Eintracht Frankfurt are close to signing Dutch international Donny van de Beek on loan. The deal with top English club Manchester United could therefore be finalized as early as the weekend. Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller did not want to comment on the speculation on Friday. In general, however, "we know that van de Beek is a good player," he said.
The 26-year-old midfielder has a contract in Manchester until the summer of 2025, but does not play a role under coach Erik ten Hag. So far this season, he has only made two brief appearances for the sixth-placed team in the Premiere League. The 19-time international hopes that more playing time will improve his chances of participating in the European Championship with the Oranje.
Van de Beek moved from Ajax Amsterdam to Manchester United for 39 million euros in the summer of 2020. According to the German newspaper "Bild", the English club will contribute a large part of van de Beek's estimated annual salary of seven million euros. Eintracht are also said to be interested in a purchase option. A transfer fee of 15 million euros is being discussed.
