Eintracht Braunschweig introduces social ticket
Second-division soccer club Eintracht Braunschweig wants to make it possible for financially weaker fans to visit its stadium. From now on, a total of 50 tickets will be available for every home game at a price of 5 euros, as the team at the bottom of the table announced on Wednesday. The tickets will be issued for the first time on Saturday (13:00/Sky) for the match against penultimate-placed VfL Osnabrück.
"We would like to thank our supervisory board member Hildegard Eckhardt and our professional team, who are providing significant financial support for this project," said managing director Wolfram Benz. The tickets will be allocated by the fan department. People who can prove that they receive social welfare or similar state support are eligible for the tickets. Tickets will be issued on match day.
The soccer fans of Eintracht Braunschweig, currently competing in Bundesliga 2, now have an affordable option to watch their favorite team play. Starting from Saturday's match against VfL Osnabrück, 50 social tickets priced at 5 euros will be available for each home game.
