- Eight-year-old child hit and injured in Neukölln
An eight-year-old girl was injured in the head in a traffic accident in Neukölln and had to be taken to the hospital. The Berlin police announced this.
The girl was riding her bike in the Britz district on Friday afternoon and was crossing the median of the intersection of Buckower Damm/Gutschmidtstraße. A 41-year-old driver on the Buckower Damm couldn't stop in time and hit the girl.
Emergency services took her to a hospital. A specialized commission for traffic offenses is investigating the cause of the accident. The street was temporarily closed at the scene of the accident, affecting the bus traffic of the BVG.
