Last night in Sommenda, eight vehicles ended up being torched, with the total estimated damage coming in at approximately 50,000 euros. The first incident saw four vehicles go up in flames on a workshop site situated on Leubinger Street, and about an hour later, an additional four vehicles were reduced to ashes in Albert-Einstein Street. At least four of these vehicles were completely gutted. Whether these two incidents are linked is currently under investigation. The local law enforcement has their suspicions pointed towards arson.

The fiery incidents resulted in the complete destruction of four vehicles on Leubinger Street and Albert-Einstein Street. The local police believe that arson could be the cause of the fire-related destruction in Sommenda.
