Learning Process - Educational institutions initiate promotional campaign for courses in instructing.
To combat the shortage of educators, the Senate and four higher institutions in Berlin are launching a new marketing effort. Science Senator Ina Czyborra (SPD) announced the initiative on Thursday, which aims to entice more students to pursue studies in the fields of Mathematics, Information Technology, Natural Sciences, and Technology. Recruitment is also targeted towards vocational school instructors and teachers of artistic disciplines.
The "Berlin gives school" initiative encompasses a variety of forms, such as poster advertising on digital billboards city-wide, a social media presence, and artistic actions. In 2021, 1190 individuals completed their teacher training with a master's degree from Berlin universities. The red-green coalition aims to raise this number to 2500 graduates each year.
