German Football League - Eberl of Bayern aims for increased unity with coach Kompany.

Bayern Munich's Sporting Director, Max Eberl, is optimistic that the appointment of new coach, Vincent Kompany, will bring more steadiness and cohesion to the record-breaking German football team. "It's an opportunity for us to reclaim some things and reunite. That's what I envision in general, that as a club, we'll back our coach and provide the necessary support," said Eberl during Kompany's introductory meeting in Munich on Thursday.

Kompany is a young coach with "an extraordinary personality," according to Eberl. "As Bayern Munich, we can only succeed like every club in the world if we're all on the same page. We need to make that happen," Eberl emphasized. This also applies to handling tricky situations. "Setbacks are a part of the game for Bayern. We'll face them together," added Eberl.

For Eberl, the coach is a crucial component in the whole process. However, he doesn't work alone. The frequent changes in coaches at Munich's team occurred before Eberl's tenure.

Bayern officially marked the end of their months-long hunt for a coach on Wednesday. To start, the top contenders Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralf Rangnick had withdrawn. Then, efforts to revert the contract cancellation with Thomas Tuchel in February also fell short.

Kompany has officially joined Bayern Munich from Premier League, relegated FC Burnley and has locked in a contract until June 30, 2027. Reports suggest that Bayern will grace FC Burnley with a transfer fee of ten to twelve million euros for the former defender.
