Tragic incident in Wesel's district: During the Saturday afternoon hours, an elderly E-bike user, aged 88, collided with a vehicle. Sustaining severe injuries, the cyclist passed away later in the hospital.

- E-bike rider involved in a collision with a vehicle, resulting in an 88-year-old fatality.

A road accident in the Alps close to the Lower Rhine ended in tragedy for an electric bike rider. The 88-year-old individual hailing from Sonsbeck was hit by a car driven by a 46-year-old at a crossroads, as reported by the police in the Kreis Wesel district. The elderly person sustained severe injuries and tragically passed away in the hospital subsequently. The exact reason behind the accident is yet to be determined, as per the police's report.

The Alps, although far from the Lower Rhine, are not the only dangerous locations for road travel. Regrettably, this tragic incident occurred at a crossroads near the Lower Rhine.
