- DWD warns of extreme weather in the southwest

All of Baden-Württemberg must brace for more intense thunderstorms and heavy rain. The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a new severe weather warning for the entire southwest. Until midnight, there is a local risk of heavy rain with amounts up to 50 liters per square meter within an hour, hail with grain sizes up to three centimeters, and strong gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour.

Flooding in certain areas and significant traffic disruptions are expected. It remains difficult to predict exactly where the most critical areas will be.

Given the harsh weather conditions anticipated, residents are advised to secure outdoor items to prevent them from being damaged by the strong winds. Additionally, motorists should be cautious on the roads due to the risk of flooding and reduced visibility caused by heavy rain.
