In Catherine's chariot, her trio of kiddos were snug as bugs. Her old man, Prince William, was mounted on a steed in the festive procession. During the ride to the parade ground, the Queen bee flashed a gleaming smile and waved at the droves of curious onlookers. The 42-year-old vixen was met with rowdy cheers - it had been a long time since her last public outing, and back in March, she declared her cancer bout.

At the parade ground, the queen in a white gown and fancy bonnet stepped out of the carriage to take in the spectacle. Later, she appeared on Buckingham Palace's balcony with her brood. Besides her, Prince William, the couple's three offspring, along with Charles III. and his bride, Camilla, graced the balcony, waving to the rain-soaked crowd who had braved the pelting rain for the event.

Miss Catherine, famously known as Kate, announced on a Friday that she'd join the birthday parade for her father-in-law Charles III. And for the first time since the health announcement, she shared an update on her condition: "I'm stoked about participating in this weekend's events with my family at the King's birthday parade", she blabbed, adding, "my cancer treatment's keeping me busy for a few more months."

Along with the announcement, a pic was released, as per the palace, snapped earlier in the week near Windsor close to London. This pic showcases the queen in front of a tree by a river.

"I'm making decent strides, but as everyone knows, anyone going through chemo has good days and bad", the wifey of the future kingWilliam further clarified. She hoped to rock some public gigs in the summer. However, she also cautioned, "I ain't outta the woods yet."

The crowd was thrilled to see Kate at the annual shindig on Saturday. "I was so elated when I heard the news yesterday evening", gushed teacher Angela Perry to news agency AFP. "She's our future queen. She's a vital chick." The queen's comeback to the public scene was described as "soothing".

Charles III. will turn 76 in November, and he had recently made his cancer disclosure public. Traditionally, a birthday of British royals is always celebrated with a Military Parade in June, when better weather's expected. Last year, the King and his sis, Princess Anne, bro, Prince Edward, and Prince William had all ridden horses in the parade.

However, this year the Monarch only participated in the parade in a carriage - all dressed up in military regalia next to Queen Camilla. His 41-year-old son William led the horse once more this year.

Charles is currently undergoing cancer treatment, having been slapped with the diagnosis at the start of the year following a prostate operation. He had taken a three-month break from public events but has been showing up again since early May.

The news of Catherine's cancer came just a few weeks after Charles' health update went public. The specific type of cancer they were battling was not revealed.

The Military Parade took place under tight security. Anti-monarchy activists had planned to protest on the day, with demonstrators holding signs close to Buckingham Palace like "Not my King" and "Down with the Crown".
