Investigations - Drunks steal nutcrackers from the Christmas market in Halle

Drunk people have stolen a life-size nutcracker from the Christmas market in Halle. The police became aware of the three thieves because the feet of the nutcracker were sticking out of the getaway vehicle, as the police announced on Monday. During the check on Saturday evening in the Bruckdorf district, the officers also discovered that the 25-year-old driver of the car was considerably intoxicated, according to the statement. As a result, the 25-year-old's driver's license was confiscated and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. The nutcracker was returned to the Christmas market.
