In the Vogtland district, a heavily intoxicated woman drove to the police station. As the police reported, the 35-year-old wanted to report an accident she was involved in to the officers on Wednesday afternoon in Plauen. According to a spokesperson for the police, she had scraped the facade of a house with her car, causing damage.

During the incident report, the officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol on the woman. A test confirmed their suspicion: the woman had driven to the police station with almost 2.5 times the legal alcohol limit. She was then taken to a hospital for a blood test and will now have to face charges for driving under the influence. The 35-year-old had to surrender her driver's license.

Despite the severe consequences, the intoxicated woman expressed regret for her actions, stating, "I should have called a taxi instead of driving." Highlighting the impact of her actions, the incident served as a reminder that responsible drinking and driving are crucial for women, just as they are for men.
