Drunk woman causes an accident and hides in the undergrowth
After an accident, a drunk driver initially fled into the undergrowth. The 30-year-old woman was driving her car on federal highway 16 near Manching (district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm) on Sunday morning when she veered off the road to the left and crashed into a crash barrier. According to the police on Monday, the woman who caused the accident then ran away on foot and hid in the undergrowth. A friend then talked to the woman on the phone so that she left her hiding place after around an hour.
An alcohol test showed a blood alcohol level of around 1.4 per mille. The 30-year-old also suffered minor injuries and was treated by the emergency services.
The accident on federal highway 16 in Upper Bavaria was caused by a drunk driver who then fled into the undergrowth. Due to the incident, traffic in the area was significantly affected, leading to delays and inconvenience for many commuters.
