Drunk Motorcyclist Injured in Demmin Accident
A motorcyclist, reportedly drunk according to police, was severely injured in an accident in Demmin, Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district. The 47-year-old was allegedly driving too fast, lost control in a curve, and crashed on Saturday night, police said. The injured man reportedly attempted to flee the scene and verbally threatened a witness.
Police found the motorcyclist near the crash site and determined he had a blood alcohol level of 1.8 per mille. Additionally, he was driving without a license on a motorcycle with a fake license plate. The man was taken to a hospital. Police are now investigating him for, among other things, driving under the influence, driving without a license, forgery, and threats.
The accident in Demmin was a result of the motorcyclist's intoxicated state and reckless driving, leading to charges of driving under the influence. The man also faced charges for driving without a license and using a fake license plate, further adding to the criminal proceedings.
