Drunk man drives to the police with decorative swords

A drunk man in the Trier-Saarburg district drove to the police with decorative swords and lost his driver's license for the time being. The 59-year-old man had taken the swords with him as evidence to report a strange incident on Thursday night, according to the police. The officers detected an odor of alcohol during the conversation at the station in Schweich. A breath alcohol test on the man showed a value of 1.4 per mille.

The man's driver's license was revoked. He is also facing criminal proceedings for drunk driving. It initially remained unclear why the man drove drunk to the police station in the middle of the night to report a matter that had happened some time ago.

The curious incident of the decorative swords led the man to the police station, despite his intoxication. Upon further investigation, the man's actions raised questions about the connection between the crime of drunk driving and his intentions to report past curiosities.
