Drunk in the track bed: S-Bahn line in Altona closed
A drunk man in the track bed caused the S-Bahn line between Hamburg-Altona station and Holstenstraße to be closed. The 39-year-old man was walking right next to the live rails on Wednesday night, as the Federal Police announced on Thursday. Touching him would have been life-threatening. The man justified his behavior by saying that he had completed training with the Polish railroad company and was therefore allowed to walk on the tracks. The alcohol test showed 2.15 per mille. Proceedings were initiated against the 39-year-old for an administrative offense.
The drunk man's proximity to the live rails on the S-Bahn track bed led to an emergency situation, requiring the intervention of the Federal Police. Due to this incident, the railroad line between Hamburg-Altona station and Holstenstraße had to be closed.
