A drunk driver has crashed his car into several house walls in Waltershausen (Gotha district). He and his passenger were seriously injured, according to the police. According to the report, the 33-year-old driver was driving at too high a speed early on Sunday morning. After the accident, he was found to have a breath alcohol level of 2.53 per mille. Rescue workers took the two seriously injured people to hospital. The walls of the house were also reportedly badly damaged. According to the police, the 33-year-old faces charges including road traffic endangerment and negligent bodily harm. He must surrender his driver's license.
