Drunk driver causes accident with 14 damaged vehicles

A drunk driver has damaged 14 vehicles in an accident on the A3. According to the police, the 30-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle at a roadworks near Idstein (Rheingau-Taunus district) on Thursday evening and hit the road barrier and an articulated lorry.

The debris scattered on the road caused damage to twelve other vehicles, six of which had to be towed away. One person was slightly injured. The breath alcohol test of the person responsible for the accident showed a level of 1.3 per mille. The police ordered a blood test and confiscated the driver's license. The damage is estimated at 35,000 euros.

The accident on the A3 in SOUTH HESSIA involved 14 damaged vehicles due to a drunk driver's loss of control. Traffic in the area was affected as police had to divert traffic to clear the scene.
