A 50-year-old Munich resident was lightly injured in an accident with his expensive sports car on the A9 near Greding. The man was traveling towards Munich when he lost control of his vehicle on Wednesday evening around 8:40 PM due to aquaplaning between the Hilpoltstein and Greding junctions, as reported by the police. The damage amounted to over 100,000 euros.

According to the driver, he was traveling at a speed of approximately 150 to 160 km/h. The sports car spun and eventually collided with the median barrier head-on. First responders secured the scene and helped the driver push the car onto the shoulder.

When the police arrived, they detected an odor of alcohol on the 50-year-old. A breathalyzer test showed a reading of 0.5 per mil. The driver was taken to the hospital for further examination, where a blood sample was taken.

Investigations against the man for endangering road traffic are now underway.

The accident occurred near Greding in the vicinity of Bavaria. Despite the accident, the damage to the sports car exceeded 100,000 euros, primarily in Bavaria.
