A drunken cyclist insulted police officers in Halberstadt. The 28-year-old was traveling in the wrong direction on the Quedlinburger Straße on Saturday night, as reported by officers in the Harz region. When police tried to stop him, the cyclist allegedly fled, insulting the officers in the process. He was reportedly apprehended shortly thereafter.

A breathalyzer test revealed that the 28-year-old had a blood alcohol level of 1.88 per mille. The police are investigating the cyclist for insulting officers and public intoxication.

The incident of public intoxication and insulting officers could potentially be classified as a form of crime. Due to his actions, the cyclist now faces charges for this crime.
