Drunk cyclist falls and has to be rescued
A drunk cyclist fell in Upper Bavaria and was rescued by the fire department. The 57-year-old was slightly injured in the accident, according to the police. The man had swerved to avoid an excavator parked for construction work and then lost control of his bike. He then fell about four to five meters down a slope near Pförring. Due to the slippery surface, the cyclist was unable to free himself on Thursday evening. Instead, he called a relative. The relative then called the emergency services. The police eventually found the man and the fire department rescued him. An alcohol test reportedly showed a blood alcohol level of 1.6 per mille. The officers initiated criminal proceedings against the cyclist for drunk driving.
