District of Lüneburg - Drug squad seizes more than 160 kilos of amphetamines
At apartment searches in the Lüneburg district, the police secured over 160 kilograms of Amphetamines. The drugs had a value on the black market of over one million Euro, as the police reported. The suspected dealers, two men aged 21 and 29 and a 26-year-old woman, were arrested in the course of the searches.
According to investigators, the trio is suspected of "significantly dealing" in Amphetamines and Marihuana. After their identities were established, the trio was later released due to lacking reasons for detention.
For the searches of four apartments in the municipalities of Amelinghausen and Ilmenau on Tuesday, the police reportedly deployed a large contingent of response units. In addition to the Amphetamines, the officers seized further drugs and evidence. The officers are investigating and also want to identify possible further suspects.
