Crime - Drug lab found: 73-year-old arrested
The police found approximately 60 buckets with a liquid used for producing amphetamines in the Euskirchen district. The buckets and a reactor used for drug production were discovered in old barns on a farm in the outskirts of the Zülpich neighborhood of Füßenich, according to the police, who announced this on Friday. The officers had been called to the farm on a Wednesday evening due to a smell.
The police arrested a 73-year-old suspect in the vicinity provisionally. In the course of the initial investigations, objects were searched in Zülpich and Cologne. There was no immediate danger to the population, according to the police. The investigations are ongoing.
