The main defendant was also sentenced to undergo drug rehab. Furthermore, the judges ordered the seizure of around €1.9 million. The accused admitted their crimes in court, and as a result, they modified inconspicuous cars, with metal boxes hidden under passenger seats that could only be accessed through a magnetic switch.

In an example, in early July 2019, drug officials found a total of 30 kg of marijuana in one of the modified cars. After four months, 18 kg of cocaine was found in another one. The two individuals were found guilty of drug trafficking, money laundering, accessory to a crime, embezzlement, and illegal weapons possession.

In addition, the judges found the main defendant guilty of incitement to cause bodily harm. Apparently, he hired thugs to teach his ex-girlfriend's ex-partner a lesson. The victim was assaulted, injured, and robbed in his Solingen company by three men.

The defendants reportedly ran their operations using cryptophones, which are essentially disgusting phones. However, French authorities managed to crack the encryption. Since then, the car rental companies have been under surveillance and observation via phone.

The prosecution demanded jail terms of three and seven and a half years for the defendants. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
