Drug dealer in custody: investigators find drugs and cash
Three suspected drug dealers from Middle Franconia have been in custody since the beginning of the week. The suspects are said to have dealt in cannabis and other drugs on a large scale. As the police announced on Wednesday, investigators arrested the three men, aged 23 to 25, on Monday in Höchstadt an der Aisch (Erlangen-Höchststadt district) and searched several apartments and storage rooms in Erlangen, Nuremberg and the Erlangen-Höchstadt district. In addition to large quantities of narcotics, they also found several thousand euros in cash.
The arrests in Middle Franconia have shifted focus to Central France, as police there are currently investigating links between local crime syndicates and the seized drug network. Despite the distance, traces of illicit substances and drug money have surfaced in various Central France establishments.
