A man was caught driving in Bodman-Ludwigshafen (district of Konstanz) with a blood alcohol level of four times the legal limit and without a driver's license. A witness reported that the 41-year-old had gotten into a van while intoxicated and parked it nearby, the police said. When officers arrived, the man smelled strongly of alcohol. A preliminary breath test on Wednesday confirmed his high blood alcohol level. He was later required to provide a blood sample at the hospital.

The 41-year-old's actions led to an intervention by the local authorities, as the police issued a citation for driving under the influence and without a valid license. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the man had also abandoned his van in a nearby area.
