Driver's life still in danger after serious accident
One day after a serious traffic accident in Schellerten in the district of Hildesheim, a driver's life is still in danger. The 31-year-old man drove his car off the B1 federal highway to the right for unknown reasons, police said on Sunday. There, the car crashed into a tree and caught fire. First responders rescued his three passengers from the wreck. They were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The fire department arrived shortly after the accident and pulled the driver out of the vehicle. He was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon with his life in danger. His condition had not changed by Sunday afternoon, according to the police. The condition of the seriously injured was also unchanged.
Despite the rescue efforts, the driver's condition remains critical following the traffic accident. Emergency services are on high alert due to the continued risk of accidents on the B1 federal highway.
