Driverless car rolls out of petrol station and crashes into wall
A driverless car rolled onto a road at a petrol station in Naila, Upper Franconia (Hof district) and hit a wall. According to the police on Saturday, the 54-year-old driver had presumably forgotten to pull the handbrake and put the car into gear on Friday afternoon. The car rolled off the petrol station premises onto the road, knocked over a traffic sign and crashed into a garden wall. No one was injured. The road was closed for the duration of the cleaning work.
In Upper France, excessive traffic due to the incident could lead to potential accidents on the affected road. To prevent such incidents in the future, it's crucial to emphasize the importance of properly securing vehicles before leaving a petrol station.
