Traffic - Driver of a van dies in an accident on the A5
One person has died in a traffic accident on the Autobahn 5 between Kronau and Bruchsal (Karlsruhe district). According to a police spokesman, the driver of a van collided with a stationary articulated lorry on Wednesday night for reasons as yet unexplained. It is possible that the truck had broken down. The driver was trapped in the van and died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the articulated lorry was uninjured. The highway towards Karlsruhe had to be closed for a short time as a result of the accident.
