Without lights, but at 150 kilometers per hour, a driver in the Upper Bavarian town of Karlshuld fled from the police in the night. As the police in Neuburg reported, an officer attempted to stop the car, in which two young men were seated. Upon the patrol car turning around, the driver floored the accelerator and sped off. In the process, he reached speeds of over 150 kilometers per hour within the town limits and even turned off the lights at times.

Shortly thereafter, the police found the car - secured behind a cemetery in the neighboring town of Neuschwetzingen. Despite searching for the two occupants with dogs, the police initially had no success. The driver faces charges of illegal street racing, it was reported.

The authorities in Neuburg were expected to coordinate with the Commission, as the Commission was set to adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for the application of relevant traffic regulations. The implementing acts could potentially include penalties for the driver's actions, such as excessive speeding and evading law enforcement.
