Police arrest 29-year-old - Driver drives around closed railroad barrier

A 29-year-old man drove his car into a semi-closed railway barrier in Wilhelmshaven. Bad luck for him: He did this during the action on a Saturday and collided with an oncoming police car. The police car driver managed to avoid a collision through an evasive maneuver, as the police reported.

The 29-year-old fled with his car and stopped it on a parking lot. From there, he continued to run away on foot, but the police caught him during the search. During his escape, the 29-year-old had also called the emergency number and claimed that his car had been stolen, as the police further reported. The officers initiated several investigations against the man and confiscated his driver's license.

The incident occurred in Wilhelmshaven, a city located in Lower Saxony. Due to the collision with the police car, traffic in the area was disrupted for some time. Subsequently, it was discovered that the man had a history of minor crimes in the region.
